Following an incident nearly two weeks ago in which a man allegedly stole a historical long gun, Batavia’s Holland Land Office Museum has installed a brand-new security system.

Museum Director Jeff Donahue tells WBTA that plans were in the works to install a security system even before the incident on December 10th. The alleged theft only spurred that process along.

The new system includes several security cameras. They were installed with donations from Assemblyman Steve Hawley and County Legislator Hollis Upson.
