A Batavia man known for riding his three-wheeled bicycle to raise money for charity has been sentenced to eight years in state prison.
57-year-old Gary Draper of Batavia admitted that he sexually abused three Batavia girls, two of them family members.
The girls were between 9 and 12 years old.
He was arrested in July for abusing two family members between the ages of 9 and 12.
Genesee County Court Judge Robert Noonan sentenced draper to two consecutive four-year terms. Noonan said Draper still does not understand the seriousness of his crimes.
Draper had been known for years locally as a man who rode his three-wheeler around Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming counties to raise money for Diabetes.
