A tree trimming crew, operating what is commonly known as a "cherry picker," turned as red as the fruit this morning - with embarrassment. The crew, from Nelson Tree Trimming Service of Dayton, Ohio, was working at the County Highway Department on Cedar Street when they pulled away from the job site about 7:30AM.
The problem was: no one noticed that the boom of the truck was still elevated.
The boom snagged overhead utility lines as the truck attempted a left turn on Cedar St., causing the rig to tip over on the its driver side. No was injured.
Cedar St. was closed for nearly 3 hours. No charges were filed.
