The City and Town of Batavia are now searching for applicants to help write the charter document for a consolidated City and Town of Batavia.
An Interview Committee was appointed at the City Council meeting on Monday night. Council President Maryanne Clattenburg, and Councilmen-at-large Frank Ferrando and Tim Buckley will now join three Town Board members to interview applicants. Appointees to the new Consolidated Charter Task Force will write the new governing document for a consolidated City of Batavia.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and resident of the municipality in which they apply. City and Town Council members; board members; zoning and planning board members; and all city and town employees and their spouses are ineligible to apply.
The application is available at City Centre and Town Hall, or you can print one off the internet by CLICKING HERE. Applications are due by December 10th.
