A Perry woman now faces felony charges in a crash in Gainesville just over a week ago that claimed the life of her friend.
20-year-old Erin Tetreault was traveling North on Miller Road on September 30th, when she apparently lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a tree. 20-year-old Marissa Ozzimo was killed in the crash. Two others, 20-year-old Nicole Grover and 21-year-old Catherine Perry, are still in area hospitals being treated for serious injuries resulting from the crash.
Investigators say alcohol and excessive speed were major factors in the accident.
Tetreault is now charged with Felony Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, and Felony Aggravated Vehicular Assault. She also faces the original charges of DWI, Driving with Open Container in Vehicle, Failure to Keep Right, and Speeding.
Tetreault was taken into custody earlier today. She is now in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
