A New York State Health Department worker has been arrested for allegedly visiting a casino on the taxpayer dime.
40-year-old Kristina Stuto of Albany is charged with Felony Grand Larceny after investigators say she took a state-issued credit card to her visit to Turning Stone Casino and Resort.
She’s also accused of using the card at department stores, and letting her family and friends charge items to the card as well. Stuto is suspected of spending nearly 8-thousand dollars in state funds for her own purposes.
She’s been released on $1,000 bail. State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli says he’s asking for the maximum punishment.
