Three automobile accidents in the area in the last 24 hours have resulted in injuries to three drivers:
A one-car crash on route 33 just east of Corfu shortly after 4 this morning resulted in injuries to 26-year-old Igor Tancevski of Christiana Drive in North Chili. He was driving west bound on route 33 when his car left the road, went off the shoulder, struck a mailbox and a post and then became airborne and rolling over. Tancevski was taken to Erie County Medical Center with chest injuries. Sheriff’s Deputies say charges are pending.
A very similar one-car accident occurred at 3:30AM this morning on Route 104 in the Orleans County town of Murray. A car driven by 19 year old Melissa Siple of Hamlin left the roadway, struck a mound of earth and became airborne. The car sheared off a utility pole, then struck a parked car and came to rest upside down against a single family home. Two children’s bikes and a second parked vehicle sustained collateral damage as a result of the accident. Siple was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputies say additional charges are pending blood test results.
A three-car chain reaction crash on route 5 in Pembroke sent one driver to United Memorial Medical Center. 48-year-old Melody Zuppa of Hillcrest Drive in Amherst complained of neck pain. She was stopped on route 5 waiting for a car to make a left hand turn, when she was struck from behind by another car, that had been struck by a third vehicle, a truck driven by 21 year old Elias Seward of Gorton Road in Basom. He was ticketed by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies. There were no other injuries.
In all three accidents, the driver was the only person in the vehicle.
