Federal charges have been filed against a Geneseo man for growing a record amount of marijuana.
45-year-old Michael Mettler was originally arrested on August 31st, after Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies seized over 250 marijuana plants from his residence.
The bust was called one of the biggest ever in Livingston County. It also included several guns, and $38,000 worth of silver coins.
In federal court today in Rochester, Mettler was indicted for Manufacturing Marijuana Plants, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Firearms by a Felon, among other charges.
If convicted, Mettler could face as much as 4-million dollars in fines, life in prison – or both.
