Today will mark the third day of testimony in the Genesee County Court vehicular homicide trial of Ronald Wendt.
The 25-year-old Alexander man is charged in connection with a car crash a year ago that claimed the life of Dansville teenager, Katie Stanley.
Wendt also faces a charge of Drunk Driving, among others.
His blood alcohol registered .08, exactly the legal limit.
That measurement and how it was obtained is expected to be a point of contention between the prosecution and defense.
William Marchinson, a friend of Wendt’s who was in his pick-up truck at the time of the accident, said he and Wendt had been driving beer and Arizona Iced Tea most of the day before the crash. Marchinson described the scene of the crash as one of chaos. When ambulances began to arrive, he said he walked home.
Wendt could get 25-years in state prison if convicted.

The race for Governor is getting a whole lot closer. That's according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll. Republican Carl Paladino, thought to be a long shot in the race for Governor, is gaining ground on Democratic front runner Andrew Cuomo. The poll shows Cuomo leading the Tea-Party backed Paladino 49-to-43 percent among likely New York voters.
Former city mayor Rudy Giuliani has yet to indicate whether he will throw his support behind Carl Paladino. Giuliani says the Paladino campaign has not reached out to him since last week's election.
Giuliani would not say if Paladino's previous inappropriate remarks would make himunfit to serve as governor.
Giuliani adds he also has known Andrew Cuomo for years and has not decided who he'll endorse.
Summer is officially gone. The calendar now switches to Fall.
But looking back, it was one of the warmest Summers in recent memory in Western New York, with the average temperature standing at 71 degrees. The National Weather Service says that's the warmest in the past five years and the third warmest in the last 20 years.
