Gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino is rising in the polls.
The latest statistics this afternoon from a Quinnipiac Poll show Paladino pulling within 6 percentage points of Cuomo, 49% to 43%.
Cuomo’s lead in the polls had been as much as about 40% not long ago. That was when there were still 2 Republicans vying for their party nomination.
