An arrest has been made in last month’s fatal accident on the thruway in Pembroke.
State Police have charged the driver of a tractor-trailer truck with manslaughter in the death of 33-year-old Julie Stratton of Amherst. Troopers say the truck driver was watching a pornographic movie on his laptop computer when he smashed into the rear of Stratton’s disabled car. The truck driver, 45-year-old Thomas Wallace, has been charged with Manslaughter in the Second Degree and has been locked up in the Genesee County jail in lieu of 50-thosuand dollars bail.
State Police Capt. Michael Nigrelli talked about the investigation and what led to the charges against Wallace:
From he outset of the investigation, troopers had questioned why so many other motorists were able to avoid her car but Wallace could not.
