A 21-year-old man was killed Thursday when the motorcycle he was operating struck a van along Judge Road in Oakfield just before Noon.
Justin M. DickesJustin M. Dickes of Broadway Street, Oakfield, was pronounced dead at UMMC in Batavia.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies said Dickes was eastbound on Judge Road, traveling at a high rate of speed, and was in the process of passing a van as it was turning left into a private driveway.
The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the van and overturned, ejecting Dickes from the machine.
Dickes was pronounced dead at UMMC shortly before 1 Thursday  afternoon.
The van was driven by 47-year-old Edward Shultz of Norton Rd., Elba. Shultz was not injured.

Dickes had just left burial services for Joshua Durham who was killed early Saturday on Albion Road in Oakfield. Two other young people were killed in the same accident.
