Definitive agreements are finalized between United Memorial Medical Center and Rochester Regional Health System.
The formal binding agreement lays out the terms and conditions for the hospitals joining the system and was approved by all involved boards.
“This is the logical progression of a longstanding relationship between United Memorial and Rochester General which has enhanced our hospital services and benefited our community,” CEO Mark Schoell, said. “With this permanent, comprehensive alliance, United Memorial will become the western hub of an emerging leader in integrated health services.”
UMMC and RGHS have maintained a clinical collaboration in key service lines for several years. RGHS has partnered with other rural hospitals such as Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic to help health care providers better meet the community’s needs without traveling to a larger city.
