A Batavia man is apprehended on an arrest warrant for a reported domestic violence incident and then got unrelated charges added on.
Edward Loper, 26, of State Street has been wanted since late May. He was arrested on charges of strangulation and third-degree robbery for the alleged domestic violence incident at the Mark Trail Hotel on West Main Street May 23.
Upon his arrest this weekend on State Street, he was allegedly found in possession of a syringe and a controlled substance and had two drug charges tacked on.
Loper was on parole for a third-degree attempted burglary charge. He was jailed on 5-thousand dollars bail.
