A second urgent care center opens today in LeRoy.
Lakeside Health System based in Brockport, is cutting the ribbon for an urgent care center on Lake Street Road later this morning.
The center will be open seven days a week.
Congressman Chris Lee will be the guest speaker at today’s opening.
United Memorial Medical Center opened an urgent care center on Tountas Avenue in LeRoy last month.
A Town of Darien woman remains in the Genesee County Jail today charged with shooting her husband.
State Police say 51-year-old Patricia Hardesty and her 54-yrear-old husband Robert had been arguing all weekend long.
On Sunday, when Robert was cooking on the backyard grill, Patricia, according to troopers, went inside, grabbed a 22-calibre rifle and fired several shots at Robert. One struck him in the left knee.
He’s in satisfactory condition at ECMC, Patricia has been charged with felony assault.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown's son has been arrested for shoplifting.
19-year-old Byron Brown Junior was busted at a Delaware Avenue store without paying for several items. Police said a friend of Brown’s was the cashier who did not ring up all of the items. The value was about 58-dollars.
The Mayor says he is "disappointed and saddened" by what he calls a lapse of judgment.
State lawmakers return to Albany this morning to try to work on an overdue state budget. State Legislative leaders have been unable to reach a final agreement with Governor David Paterson over tuition rates for SUNY schools before passing a state budget.
But state Assemblywoman Deborah Glick, who chairs the Assembly's Higher Education Committee, blames the governor for not compromising and cautions certain schools could become unaffordable for middle and low-income residents.
The state budget is more than four-months late.
