Batavia Police have been looking for this guy for quite a while.
32 year old James Saddler, said to be from Rochester but has also drifted around Batavia, was taken into custody earlier this week after allegedly fleeing from sheriff’s deputies.
That’s when Batavia Police moved in with a stack of warrants charging Saddler with a series of domestic charges dating back to last November. Charges included unlawful imprisonment, child endangerment and harassment.
Saddler remains in the Genesee County Jail without bail.
The weather should cooperate for Batavia’s 4th of July Picnic in the Park.
The 36th annual Picnic in the Park begins at Noon tomorrow in Centennial Park and continues until 5.
The party, presented by Go Art, is billed as a day-long celebration of art and music.
State Police will be out with special traffic enforcements efforts over the holiday weekend. Drivers can expect a number of sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols and an increased focus on underage drinking and alcohol sales to minors.
There seems to be some better behaved crowds this year at Darien Lake concerts.
The Fall Out Boy concert last night netted lawmen three arrests and two court appearance tickets.
One of those taken into custody, a 20 year old woman from Elmira, punched a security officer while being escorted out of the concert.
It looks like Kiko Alonso will likely miss the entire 2014 season.
Bills GM Doug Whaley says that Alonso tore the ACL in his left knee while working out in Oregon.
Whaley says Alonso will be scheduled for surgery soon and then will begin a rehabilitation program.
