Deal Reached to Legalize Marijuana in NYS

New Yorkers will now have access to medical marijuana under an agreement between legislative leaders and Governor Andrew Cuomo. However, people who are allowed access to medical marijuana will not be able to smoke it. They will be able to ingest marijuana through vaporization, oils or a pill, but not through smoking.

Bill supporters say that clause was the only way Cuomo would agree to the measure.
