A former Dellinger Avenue resident accused of a string of armed robberies and an unsuccessful burglary attempt at the Rent-A-Center has two more felony charges tacked on.
Mark Maltese, 43, was arraigned in county court Tuesday morning on a seven-count sealed grand jury indictment. It was sealed because he hadn’t yet been arrested on the newest, unrelated charges.
Maltese is now additionally charged with allegedly breaking into a Hutchins Street home at the end of March and stealing a safe with cash and jewelry.
Maltese is accused of committing armed robbery at the Best Western and Days inn in Batavia and the 7-Eleven in Oakfield back in November.
The seven-count indictment includes burglary, robbery, grand larceny and criminal mischief charges.
