Charges are filed against a Batavia man accused of causing an accident that injured six people.
It occurred at Oak and Richmond Streets in the City of Batavia back in November.
The Batavia Police Department says 46-year-old Michael Sanders of Columbia Avenue was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the crash. Police say Sanders has a previous DWAI conviction within the last 10 years.
He is also charged with two counts of vehicular assault.
Police say Sanders was driving north on Oak Street attempting to turn left onto Richmond when he failed to yield the right-of-way to a pickup truck travelling southbound. They collided, causing the pick-up to strike two pedestrians.
The Police Department says the other injured people continue to be treated for injuries they sustained that day.
Sanders was jailed with no bail set.
