A Livingston County woman has been arrested on two felony charges for allegedly stealing more than $140,000 worth of goods from a car dealership in Avon.
After a three month investigation, Betsy C. Strickner, age 41 of Farmington, NY was arrested by Livingston County Sheriif's Investigator Bradley Schneider for Grand Larceny in the 2nd degree and Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree.
The investigation revealed that while Strickner was working as the Parts Manager for a dealership in the Town of Avon, she was ordering radio units and selling them through her own EBay account. It was also discovered that Strickner had been ordering the items under other part descriptions to hide the theft of the radios. This had taken place over the course of the past year and the total loss to the dealer was $140,860.
Strickner was arraigned in Avon Town Court and remanded to the custody of the Sheriff. Strickner is being held in the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
