Another improvement in Genesee County’s unemployment rate.
Figures show the jobless rate in Genesee County dropped 2-tenths of a point from May to June and now stands at 6.4-percent.
A year ago, the jobless for the county was 7.1-percent.
Orleans County, however, showed a half point increase in its unemployment rate, rising from 8.5-percent in May to an even 9-percent last month.

Andrew Cuomo hits the road in the race for New York Governor.
Cuomo is beginning a statewide RV tour, visiting all 62 counties over the next eleven days. Cuomo plans to talk up his goal of reform.
The state Public Integrity Commission closes the case on "Troopergate" following a three-year investigation. Eliot Spitzer's former communications director Darren Dopp paid a ten-thousand-dollar fine to the commission for his role in the scandal. Dopp is accused of misusing state police to gather and leak travel information to discredit former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno.
New Yorkers don't think much of the state Legislature. A new poll from Siena College finds that nearly half of New York's voters give lawmakers an "F" for their work on the state budget. Governor Paterson doesn't fair much better. A quarter of those surveyed give him an "F" as well.
Buffalo Sabres fans will be shelling out more to the see the team this upcoming season. The Sabres have released their ticket pricing plans for the 2010-2011 season. On average, fans can expect to pay up to seven dollars more for individual tickets. Season tickets are going up by five percent.
