If you are a customer of Time Warner Cable, get ready to dig deeper into your pocket to pay for TV and internet service.
Time Warner has just announced an average rate increase of 6.4 percent.
The rate hike includes a new fee to watch local channels you could otherwise get for free.
Time Warner will be adding a fee of $2.25 a month to cover the cost of relaying local channels you could get for nothing with an antenna.
The rate hike takes effect in the middle of March.
If you are under a special promotional plan, the rate hike will kick in when the promo period is over.

Dispatchers received a frantic 911 call this weekend from William Emmick’s 27-year-old daughter.
He allegedly pointed a shotgun at her face and told her to get off his property.
The 50-year-old Emmick was released on his own recognizance.
