Batavia Police is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a hit-and-run pedestrian accident.

It occurred one week ago on Feb. 5 at about 7:45 a.m. on State Street near Fairmont Avenue.

Police say it involved a black two-door sedan with a white license plate starting with the letter D occupied by two white individuals.

There are no details from police about how the pedestrian was hit, but the victim was taken to UMMC with nonlife-threatening injuries.
