The Winter Storm Watch for Genesee County has been upgraded to a warning and now the National Weather Service is increasing its expected snowfall totals.

The Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tonight at 10 o'clock and lasts for 24 hours. NWS predicts snow accumulations of seven to 13 inches. The highest totals will be south and east of the Thruway, it says. The forecasts predict three to five overnight, four to seven inches Wednesday and another inch Wednesday evening.

NWS says travel time will be most difficult tomorrow morning. Visibility is also expected to as low as half a mile at times.
