The Batavia area received about 2 inches of new snow on Saturday making driving tricky. Temperatures also plummeted. The high yesterday was 27 and the low 11…The temperature this morning is just above zero.
A wind chill advisory is in effect until noon today, and a winter weather advisory is in effect from 9PM tonight to 6AM Monday morning.
The forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies and very cold with some snow this afternoon accumulating up to an inch. It will be breezy.
The Livingston County Drug Task Force arrested a Rochester man on Friday on drug charges. 33 year old Randall Steele had been identified as a trafficker of crack cocaine into Livingston County. The two month investigation led to the arrest of Steele on charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, also a felony. The arrest occurred in the town of Geneseo. Bail was seat at ten thousand dollars cash and 20 thousand dollars bond. Steele is in the Livingston County Jail pending further court proceedings.
A Pavilion man is facing two felony drugs charges.
The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force arrested 38-year-old Keith Reamer Jr. of Hartwell Road for allegedly selling a prescription substance to an agent of the Drug Task Force.
Reamer is charged with Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
After arraignment, Reamer was released under supervision of Genesee Justice.,
Ogden police have confirmed the man shot by a sheriff's deputy on Wednesday is a person of interest in an attempted robbery in Spencerport. Police say a man armed with a gun tried to rob a bank in Spencerport, and they believe that man is Vincenzo Zagari. The man is a accused of entering the M&T Bank branch, displaying a gun and demanding money. Police say the suspect was not given any money during and fled the scene. Currently, Zagari is not facing any charges in connection with the attempted robbery in Spencerport. Officials are waiting to hear about his health status. Zagari remains in guarded condition at Strong Hospital.
With the Super Bowl a week away, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks are each set to arrive on the east coast today. The AFC Champion Broncos will be first to arrive to Newark International Airport at around 3:30 p.m. Eastern. The Seahawks will arrive a few hours later at around 7 p.m. Eastern. Both teams are expected to hold brief press conferences upon arrival. A much larger press gathering will take place on Tuesday for the annual Media Day from the Prudential Center. Super Bowl 48 is set for February 2nd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
