Former Bills running back Thurman Thomas has been active in the Western New York community for quite some time and now he’s working on a new assignment.
The governor’s office this afternoon announced his appointment to the New York State Tourism Advisory Council and recommended he fill the position of Vice Chair.
The governor said in a release, quote, “He has shown a commitment to the Empire State both on and off the field. Now Mr. Thomas will be using his experience to help make Upstate New York a premier destination for visitors from around the globe and continue to grow our tourism industry.”
Thomas said he is “honored” by the appointment.
