New York State’s legislative session has been gaveled out for the summer. But there is still no state budget. Majority Democrats in Albany today reportedly never even brought the state budget up for a vote.
Local Republican Senator Mike Ranzenhofer describes the action on the Senate floor today; he says even if a budget were passed, it wouldn’t have done much good for Upstate.
Ranzenhofer says Senators will have to go back to the state capitol. But he says leaving Albany without a budget being passed is "the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in my entire life."
