A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Genesee, Orleans and Monroe counties from 4 o’clock this afternoon through 1 a.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy, blowing snow with a total storm accumulation of 6 to 12 inches by early Thanksgiving morning.
Expect winds out of the north at 15 to 25 miles per hour gusting to 40 by tomorrow night.
The Weather Service says the heavy, wet snow could cause isolated power outages.

Batavia Police and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office have released surveillance photos of a possible suspect in the recent string of armed robberies.
The grainy color photo from the 7-Eleven store in Oakfield depicts a man dressed in what appears to be hooded sweatshirt and carrying a long gun.
Police say the man could be the same suspect who held up the Best Western and the Days Inn over the past week.

Batavia Police say a homeless man who drifts through Batavia occasionally is accused of stealing from church collection boxes. 
59-year-old Stephen Quigley is charged with petit larceny and has been jailed in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Quigley was arrested in 2009 for allegedly stealing prayer offerings from a church in LeRoy.

Contact lens maker Bausch and Lomb is planning a major expansion in Rochester.  Bausch and Lomb's parent company Valiant Pharmaceutical is planning to spend more than 100-million-dollars to expand its core manufacturing and distribution center in Rochester.  Valiant's decision means that over a thousand jobs will remain in the region, and an additional 100 jobs are being created.  The state is providing the company with $12-million in grants and tax credits for the project.
