Convicted killer Scott Doll appearing in Batavia City Court this afternoon.
It was Doll’s second public appearance since being found guilty of murdering Joseph Benaquist. Today, he answered to a charge of Promoting Prison Contraband. Doll’s lawyer, Daniel Killelea, asked for and was granted re-appearance for motions on July 27th.
When he was entered into jail for murder last month, officers found Doll concealing a green balloon on his backside. It was filled with a white, powdery substance. That substance later turned out to be aspirin.
Doll was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband, and has since pleaded not guilty. Killelea said outside the courtroom that Doll has no intention of changing his plea, and the case may go to trial.
Doll appeared shackled and with a well-established beard today – he appears not to have shaven since his murder conviction.

Doll is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday for the murder of Joseph Benaquist.
