The level 3 sex offender newly indicted on charges he sexually abused four children in Batavia the past two decades will not get a chance to post bail.

Sean Vickers, 44, of Geneva was arraigned in Genesee County court today. He was named in an 11-count indictment alleging he sexually assaulted four children in the City of Batavia in the 90s and 2000s.

Judge Robert Noonan said Vickers was too great a threat to flee since he’s facing possible multiple life sentences.

Vickers also pleaded not guilty to the 11 counts ranging from predatory sexual assault against a child to sexual abuse. He’s also being investigated in Niagara County for similar child molestation charges.

Officers think it’s possible there are more alleged victims in the community. Anyone with information that can assist the investigation is asked to call Batavia Police.

This is both sad and disgusting. We met Sean in 2009 through an outdoor club we were running. He was well liked by the club members and helped us all learn to kayak. Little did we know he was such a monster at the same time. Sad that a potentially good person will (hopefully) spend the rest of his life in prison!
