The Attica Police Department is continuing to investigate an instance of alleged attempted child abduction in the Village.

The department says it has re-interviewed the children and followed up on leads involved in the complaint from Oct. 22. At this time, there have been no other incidents in the Village and no new information to help identify the individual, according to police.

Attica Police is searching for a white male in his 50s or 60s with a bald head and fluffy white hair on the sides who spoke with a raspy voice. He was driving a vehicle described as a newer gray or dark-colored pick-up truck with an extended cab and tinted windows in the back. It was last seen driving North on Genesee Street toward Genesee County.

Officers remind parents to talk with their children regularly about personal safety and how to call for help.

Anyone with information is asked to call Attica Police at (585) 591-0881.
