A felony arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the State Street shots-fired incident from late September.

Batavia Police issued a release updating the status of two ongoing shots-fired investigations in the City of Batavia this afternoon.

They are looking for residents’ help in finding 34-year-old Dashawn Allen Butler. He is a black male, 6-foot-2 inches tall and about 180 pounds. If seen or if you have information about his last whereabouts, witnesses are asked to dial 911.

In regards to the Jackson Street shots-fired incident which occurred Oct. 8, Batavia Police says it has obtained DNA from the scene which was shipped to the State Police Forensic Investigation Center in Albany for analysis. Meanwhile, two unidentified people have been questioned and one has been detained on a parole violations. Their names were not released by law enforcement.
