Governor Andrew Cuomo says interest in the natural gas extraction technology known as hydrofracking isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Cuomo said yesterday it's misleading to say fracking would bring an economic boost to Upstate New York.
The state's Health Department has been working for months to complete a health and environmental impact study on the controversial drilling process. The process itself has been on hold for five years as research is collected.
Cuomo says the state’s decision will be based on facts, not emotion.
