Officials from the City and Town of Batavia along with the Town of Pembroke are looking at funding opportunities that would connect the downtown area with both the east and west sides of the county. City Manager Jason Molino told city council about the idea last night. The project, which is still in the early stages, would likely connect a new housing project near Seven Springs Road to the city with a walking and bike path. The project could extend as far west as the Town of Pembroke.
Former Village of Corfu Justice Robert Alexander and his daughter Brandi Watts appeared in court yesterday. Alexander has been charged with coercion and misconduct while his daughter and former clerk Watts faces 61 charges in relation to the alleged theft of $10,000 in court fines. Both will appear in court again on Aug 12th.
A Wyoming County woman faces up to seven years behind bars after she stole $1.3 Million from a former employer. Debra Davis of Java Lake Road in Arcade stole the funds while working as a bookkeeper for the American Stainless Corporation.
