Charlotte Conable, author and wife of the late Barber Conable, passed away Sunday in Sarasota, Fla.,after a long battle with cancer. She was 83.
Mrs. Conable attended CornellUniversity and George Washington University and wrote the book, “Women at Cornell: The Myth of Equal Education.”
Her honors included being named a Woman of Distinction, an honorary doctorate from GCC, and being included in Feminists Who Changed America, 1963-75.
She was a board member of the Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls and a trustee at Cornell.
According to our news partner The Batavian who has been in contact with the family, services will be held in Alexander at yet to be announced date.
