Assemblyman Steve Hawley is hosting Patriot Trip VI – an annual journey to monuments in Washington, D.C. with local veterans.
This year’s trip will take place from Thursday, September 19 to Sunday, September 22. It will include visits to landmarks such as the WWII, Vietnam, Korean and Iwo Jima memorials, as well as Arlington National Cemetery and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
Hawley – a ranking minority member of the Assembly Committee on Veterans Affairs -- calls it a “solemn and captivating experience that highlights the depth of the bravery and sacrifice our heroic veterans have contributed to our nation.”
The trip includes roundtrip transportation, accommodations and most meals for a $350 cost.
