A former Genesee County resident pleaded guilty to a bail jumping charge for fleeing the area prior to his sentencing on burglary charges back in March 2012.

24-year-old Benjamin Muntz is currently in state prison serving a 3 1/2 to 7-year sentence for his conviction on third-degree burglary. The bail jumping charge of 1 1/2 to 3 years will be served consecutively.

Sentencing for the bail jumping charge plus a count of grand larceny from a previous conviction is scheduled for Sept. 4.

Muntz was returned to Genesee County in April. In the interim after he fled the area he served time in prison in Arkansas and is currently wanted in Georgia.
