A 22-year-old Darien man who got tasered by a deputy Saturday after a high-speed chase is also facing drug charges.
Nicholas Christian Doell of Lippold Road is facing 19 charges in three jurisdictions in two separate incidents.
On Friday, deputies say Doell was allegedly found in possession of controlled substances which were concealed in a cigarette pack.
The next day at 8 in the evening, deputies say they tried to pull Doell over in a 2003 Harley Davidson for traffic and vehicle violations.
That’s when Doell allegedly took off, driving 90 miles per hour through Darien, Alexander and the Town of Batavia. He allegedly then fled on foot and was tasered “to effect arrest,” the sheriff’s office said.
Doell is charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest and reckless driving among a slew of other misdemeanor charges.
He was jailed with bail set at $5,000 and is due in Town of Darien Court again on the matter June 4.
A 19-year-old Warsaw man is facing 8 charges, including DWI, after he led police on a high-speed motorcycle chase early this morning.
Deputies say they clocked Quinton Murphy of West Buffalo Road at 68 miles per hour in a 35 zone in the Village of Wyoming. Murphy, though, fled police going south on Route 19. Deputies say he was observed going 108 miles per hour in a 35 zone and 85 in a 55 zone on a 2012 Honda motorcycle.
Murphy eventually yielded to Sheriff’s Deputies in Warsaw. He is charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, DWI, reckless driving and failure to comply with lawful order among others.
Murphy was committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $20,000 bail. He is scheduled for a DMV refusal hearing in July because his license was suspended for refusing a chemical test and is due back in court June 17.
