New York State Police reminds residents to be safe on the roads now that it’s motorcycle season.

It’s promoting the message to “look twice.” Most car-motorcycle accidents occur at intersections because drivers don’t see the approaching motorcycle, particularly when making turns.

The safety message also applies to motorcyclists: State Police advises getting as much safety training as possible, wearing DOT-approved helmets and being alert for drivers pulling into your path.
