An Attica woman has been indicted on two charges including one felony after an alleged shoplifting incident at the Dollar General.
The indictment charges Carrie Stewart, 32, with petit larceny and tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony.
Stewart is accused of stealing five pairs of underwear, a hat, socks, gloves, a wallet and thermal underwear from Dollar General on November 15. When confronted by store employees in the parking lot Stewart allegedly threw the items into the Tonawanda Creek and they were carried away by the current, according to the indictment.
A man who law enforcement says is allegedly responsible for sexually abusing children in the Western New York region has been indicted by the Genesee County Grand Jury.
44-year-old Sean Vickers is charged with course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree, a class B violent felony. The registered level 3 sex offender is accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13 from November 2001 to April 2002.
At the time of his arrest late last month, Vickers was sent to the Genesee County Jail with bail set at $500,000 dollars.
