A Wyoming County woman is facing charges for driving drunk after she was allegedly clocked going 107 miles per hour on 490 Saturday night.
44-year-old Melissa Hunter of Silver Springs was driving eastbound through the Town of Riga when troopers pulled her over. Hunter allegedly had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. She is due in court at a later date.
A Batavia man is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
20-year-old Michael Sigl of Pratt Road is accused of driving with a 14-month-old child in his lap on Veterans Memorial Drive Saturday. He is due Town Court May 23.
A series of domestic incidents lands two Warsaw men in jail.
Deputies were called to a home on Route 19 where 42-year-old Scot Murtha allegedly bit his girlfriend. The victim called a relative and a short time later 18-year-old Jordan Mock showed up and confronted Murtha. Mock then “inflicted serious injury” to Murtha which caused him to be hospitalized. During the investigation, Murtha allegedly grabbed the throat of a Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputy.
Mock was charged with a felony count of Assault and was jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail. Murtha was charged with Attempted Assault in the first domestic incident and Harassment in his altercation with police. Murtha was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
