Crime takes no Holiday.
We begin this morning's news summary with a bizarre tale of assault in Darien.
19-year-old Michael Johnson of Cheektowaga was arrested early yesterday for allegedly applying Super Glue to another person as that person was sleeping.
Deputies said this caused the other person’s eye and ear to glue shut.
Johnson was locked up in lieu of $500 bail.

In a separate incident, Batavia Police said 24-year-old LaToya Jackson of West Main Street was arrested for repeatedly shouting swear words in public on State St. Both young women charged with Disorderly Conduct.
A Brockport man has been jailed for allegedly threatening an employee of Batavia City Court. Police say it happened last Friday, just before the start of the Holiday weekend. 37-year-old Keith Lyman of Brockport charged with Aggravated Harassment for contacting the City Court on the phone and threatening the employee.
29-year-old Kevin O’Connell of East Main Street has been arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Batavia Police say Kevin apparently got into a dispute with his girlfriend, the dispute became physical, and during the fracas a child was knocked down.
