Batavia Fire officials tell WBTA the cause of a fire at a landmark home on 33 Ross Street earlier this month is electrical.
They noted there was lightening in the area at the time, but the cause is not traced to that at the time.
Fire is believed to have started in the basement of the stately, 111-year-old home. The cost of the damage the home, assessed at $205,000, is unknown.
