Batavia City Hall seems to have backed off its new rules to rent a city park pavilion.
Two weeks ago, council rejected a series of new rules that several lawmakers said were too restrictive.
A committee of two councilmen and city management met and drafted a new policy that will be discussed tonight.
Council is also expected to be briefed about the final design for the Cedar Street Reconstruction Project.
The council meets in a Conference session beginning at 7 tonight in City Hall. There will be an opportunity for public comment.

This morning’s Police Blotter:
25-year-old Danny Torok Jr. of Maple Street: he has been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was jailed on $2,500 bail but Batavia Police have released no details of the arrest.

Jared McDonald of South Lake Street, Pavilion: he was arrested Sunday a charge of Assault in the 3rd Degree. Deputies say the 19-year-old McDonald pushed another person causing a back injury.
McDonald locked up on $1,000 bail.

53-year-old Robert Stanley of Ganson Ave: he was jailed over the weekend on a charge of Criminal Contempt.
Batavia Police say Stanley violated a stay away order of protection.Bail set at $1,000.

Senator Charles Schumer is calling on Congress to prevent the furloughs of air traffic controllers at New York City airports.  
He says that the Big Apple’s economy depends on tourists being able to get in and out of city without being inconvenienced.
Air traffic controllers are set to be furloughed for eleven days through September under the federal budget cuts known as the sequester.  Instead of furloughs, Schumer says that Congress should resume negotiations to fix the problem.  

The Finger Lakes Boating Museum is seeking a new location after being forced from their former space in Geneva.  The museum had been trying to reach a long term deal in Geneva that fell through, so they were forced to leave and put the boats into temporary warehouse space in Hammondsport.  The museum owns a large collection of historical boats that were built between 1905 and 1991.
