An event at GCC Wednesday will discuss the economic impact of the college on the GLOW region.
Conducted by Economic Modeling Specialists, Inc. (EMSI), “an independent, internationally-recognized research organization,” that utilizes “state-of-the-art, peer-reviewed research techniques,” the study calculates that GCC's overall contribution to the local economy totals $169.1 million.

GCC President Dr. James Sunser will be joined by Dr. Kjell A. Christophersen of EMSI in presenting the report The Economic Impact of Genesee Community College in the GLOW Region on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in room T-102 of the Conable Technology Building on the GCC Batavia campus. The event is sponsored by the College, the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce, the Genesee County Economic Development Center, and the Genesee Community College Foundation.
