A public hearing has been rescheduled to address the financial request of a development company seeking to renovate at the Batavia Towne Center.
The Genesee County Economic Development Center announced in late March more than $1 million in tax incentives for COR Development to renovate the building Lowe’s once occupied on Veterans Memorial Drive.
The public hearing was originally scheduled for April 23 at 4, but due to complaints from residents who work at that time of day, the meeting has been moved to April 30 at 7. It will take place at the Batavia Town Hall.
At the meeting, the GCEDC will overview the project including its fiscal impact and hear public comment.
Here's more information from the GCEDC:
Written comments can be sent to the GCEDC’s Marketing and Communications Director, Rachael Tabelski at Genesee County Economic Development Center, 99 MedTech Dr., Suite 106, Batavia, NY 14020. Written comments must contain the individual’s contact information, including address and phone number, and should indicate if he or she would like the comment read at the hearing. All comments and public hearing testimony will be reviewed by the GCEDC board prior to a vote on the COR Development application for support.
