A prominent local doctor has died.
Dr. Alan Siegel passed away Wednesday evening at his home. He was 57 years old.
Dr. Siegel was a board-certified Opthamologist with University Eye Specialists. He worked at branches in Batavia and Warsaw.
Dr. Siegel made the community his commitment here in Batavia. He served on the Batavia City School Board, including a time as Board President. The doctor was also a member of the Batavia Lions Club.

Lions Club President Steve Watson says Dr. Siegel was very community-minded.

Funeral arrangements are being prepared by Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Batavia.

Dr Siegel was a very good doctor. I looked forward to seeing him each time I had to have my eyes tested. He was very professional and a very well mannered doctor. He is one of those people of which a small part of your heart has gone with him. God Bless you Dr. Siegel and your family
