A Maple Street resident has a story to tell.
He heard some noises in the middle of the night coming from an apartment that should have been empty.
This all happened about 3AM yesterday morning.
When he went to check it out, he was confronted by two men fleeing from the apartment.
There was a scuffle with one of them who was cut on the face.
Police say the thugs got away with a safe, some cash and medications.
The resident was not hurt.
The suspects are described as while men. One of them is 5-ft. 8-in. tall with black hair and wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt.
