The Elba teen who sparked a police manhunt in Batavia back in April has been sentenced to prison time.
17-year-old Christopher Laird will serve 1 to 3 years in the state lock-up after pleading guily to violation of probation. Judge Robert Noonan revoked his probation this morning in Genesee County Court.
Laird failed to report for probationary meetings in early 2010. He was elevated to wanted status in February. Laird managed to hide from the law until April 2nd, when he was spotted in Batavia. He was pursued by all manner of law enforcement, including a state police helicopter, but managed to slip away. Laird was finally arrested in LeRoy on April 4th.
