Morgantown, West Virginia is getting a minor league baseball team.

The New York-Penn League’s president announced plans today to relocate an unidentified franchise there in 2015.

The West Virginia team will share facilities with the University of West Virginia Mountaineers.

As an affiliate of the Pirates, the Jamestown Jammers have been speculated for a potential relocation, but nothing is certain at this point despite the announcement. The yet-to-be-built ballpark in Morgantown still has political and financial hurdles to climb as the county seeks to levy a special tax to raise $16 million.
